Great Government During Tough Budgets
If current tax revenue projections hold, Prince George’s County could be facing tight budgets for several years to come. That will create constant pressure to shrink government and cut the services currently provided.
In order to respond to the current budget crisis and provide great government services, Prince George’s County must:
- Be data-driven in every department and at every level by first, producing honest data; and then reviewing the data to determine if we can provide better services more efficiently;
- Review any duplication in government and review how government agencies and entities in the county procure/contract for government services;
- Help build the non-profit capacity in the county to “expand the pie” of available financial resources.
